These mid-polarity phase columns are generally used for analysis of polar compounds like chlorinated pesticides, herbicides and basic drugs. They are often used in conjunction with a second column to provide confirmational information. Additionally, the phase ratios of the 0.32-mm series are maintained in the 0.20-mm series, simplifying transfer of methods to GC/MS systems.
